13 year old cactus with no roots

I have had a cactus now for around 13 or so years and I recently repotted it for the first time (my dad has always done it for me because it is spikey) when I noticed it basically has no roots on it. This really confused me and I don't know what to do with it. It seems healthy and is green. And it produces loads of flowers from spring to autumn. Should I leave it or do I need to slice it and let it re root? Thank you (the picture is from last summer but it looks the same)

Edit : I know it is a gymnocalysium if anyone knew which type I would be greatful. It mainly flowers pink which are bleached white by the sun
