My child has a genetic condition that affects her pelvic muscles. She has frequent accidents especially when running jumping sneezing/coughing. Usually she tells me when she has one so we can clean it up but a few days ago she had one on her bedroom floor and never told anyone. So Tuesday it started to smell. She started crying that she had an accident and "forgot" to tell me. So now i can't find a cleaner to destroy the smell. I tried resolve pet urine and stain remover. Baking soda and vinegar. 409. Enzyme solvant. Dawn. Nothing worked. I had a professional steam clean this morning. It was good until now it's been 6 hours since the floor was professionally cleaned and the urine smell is coming back. Any ideas??

I have 3 dogs & our livingroom upholstery used to smell despite bathing the dogs every othe week. We used to have it professionally cleaned quarterly which did rid the odor for the mean time but then dog got allergies & we coudln't apply all those chemicals. Finally I cleand it one last time & donated the furniture to my father. It looks brand new but I couldn't stand the constant cleanings - we replaced with leather.

Wash her with dishwashing soap to cut the fish oil and remove as much of it as possible. Then rinse with white vinegar to help remove the odor. Then rinse very thoroughly with plain water. After all of that, any residual odor will just take time to dissipate from her coat. Laurie

Wow -- I want to thank everyone who recommended Thymes' Frazier Fir diffuser. This is our first year with an artificial tree and I really missed the smell. Knowing GW, I did a search and found this perfect thread (!); going to the Thymes' website I found a local (I mean a seven minute drive, door to door) charming shop I'd never seen before. It was incredible! And for whatever reason, they sold it to me for $30 (it should've been $60); I protested but they said "no, that's the price." So I bought a few other bibelots to ease my conscience (and it wasn't hard because it was one of those incredible shops where you want to just move in!). Right down the street from this shop a man was offering hay wagon rides, so my four and two year-olds, husband and I all hopped on and had an incredible ride around this sweet and historic downtown. Then we found an outdoor skating rink, so we rented some skates and pulled each other around. On the walk back to our car a man was handing out homemade candy canes from his candy shop. My four year-old loves candy canes! And all of these wonderful things happened to us today because the generous people here on GW shared Thymes Frazier Fir diffuser. So now I have this gorgeous smell, know about this wonderful local shop, and had a wonderful, serendipitous Saturday. Thank you!
