My sofa is here! I need help with accent chairs/pillows please!
Comments (28)I like the blue in the room better than the browns in the last edition of pictures. The blue cleans it up a bit more. Both chairs are pretty colors. Could you add some navy in addition to the more muted colors that you like. Or maybe a very light soft blue/turquoise grey. The TV images are adding color to the room that may be distracting my evaluation, lol....See MoreAccent Pillows for Sofa
Comments (11)you can always add pillows if you feel like it..in that case, I'd introduce a different shape too, maybe rectangular? or mix sizes a bit. you can add a throw as well(I'm nuts about pillows AND throws..and to me, these are always useful..and everybody actually enjoys them). in your inspiration pic, they have lots of textures going on: burlap, velvet, knit, wood, seagrass(or is it jute?), fig tree leaves, something interesting on the lampshade(shells? not sure), branches, you name it. So it's very calm but very cozy, due to all this different materials, that beg to touch them. Your direction is the same..take it further, and you're there....See MoreHelp! I’m struggling to find the right dark accent gray!
Comments (11)Thanks everyone! I’ll look into your additional suggestions. One more question...do you think I should paint the 2 story wall above my door the same egdgecomb gray as the rest of the house and forget trying an accent color there? I kinda think it looks boring in the light color, but worried I’ll be forever spinning my wheels on that one given the backlight coming in? @Kjoy, the black looks awesome! I just don’t think I have the guts (and my husband may kill me). How did you mock up the color like that?...See MoreCustom Sofa Accent Pillows- newbie at decorating
Comments (10)To clarify, you get 4 pillows with your purchase but only intend to used 2 at any given time, is that right? You want to use the 2nd set to swap out for seasonal decorating? I tend to want to have pillows make a statement rather than blend in, and I think the stripe and the two trellis patterns are too subtle. I like the one labeled Caviar, and the Hollyann Tangelo (though the tangelo doesn't say fall/winter to me, despite the color). What about a plain (or tone-on-tone) red?...See MoreMilly Rey
