Dipping chocolate

I'm making Oreo truffles for a St Patrick's Day party tomorrow. I thought it was such a good idea/deal to buy Trader Joe's Belgian Dark Chocolate bars to use to coat the truffles. I usually just melt chocolate chips (this is not a high-brow party!) but thought the bars would taste better. Now I'm worried that I will have to temper the candy bars, or that the bars won't work for this purpose. Any opinions? I really don't want to have to mess with tempering and I don't care if they are glossy and professional looking for these. They are mostly gobbled up by teens who won't give them a second glance. Thank you!
