Hi Snidely. In fact, other apps open with no problem. It did no come to my mind, that this indicates OS is not rather the cause. Today ,still searching for an answer I found, right- clicking ' Mswkscal.wcd ' that the files is open with Internet Explorer,what astonished me, as the file extension 'wcd' opens with Microsoft Works by default.. accordingly I am trying to change file association with right program. I keep selecting Microsoft Works with no awaited result. It can be change to any program but Microsoft Works. I know,I got obsessive. Must stop it. thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Albert it is possibly to do with your surfing preferences. There is an interesting talk on TED about this subject. The lecturer discovered that things are changing online and Google searches for the same subject return different results for different people. Check it out, it is only 9 minutes but is very interesting (I think) There are many other very interesting articles on TED for those who need interesting information.

You run down the battery by unplugging from the power and using it strictly from the battery. That's how a laptop is supposed to be used, you unplug it and carry it to your bedroom or recliner etc. During this time it is using the battery power. In your case just unplug it and use it in place running from the battery to drain it down. It will depend on the quality of the replacement battery as to how well it holds up. I got mine from a battery supply store on eBay matching exactly what was on my existing battery. Since your laptop was used your battery could be a replacement. You can remove the battery from the laptop and just plug the laptop into the power leaving the battery out of the equation. Mine are that way I don't know anything about yours to give you instructions. You can try going to Google and search for the exact model of it and quite possibly find good information about your laptop.

Close all tabs except the MSN one, but be careful and make sure all it says in the MSN url box is msn.com and no other letters or numbers etc. With only msn open, go to the settings box you use for setting home page and choose the option for use current page and save the settings. Then try it out and see if it works.
