I received a lovely card from Melinda! It showed the a beautifully decorated home with snowflakes bringing added beauty to the peaceful scene. Thank you, Thank you Melinda! I have addressed and licked the envelopes for my three fellow members. They will go out in the mail tomorrow. Hooray!! I have matched one word with Bingo. Hoping to increase that number in the coming days??!! perhaps ;) The family is preparing for Christmas... my son will be here for Christmas!! We are so excited about his time "off" from the Air Force. We will pick him up in Seattle this weekend and for that we are hoping for good weather. It has been in the 40's these past few days... no snow .... yet... hopefully it will remain that way until we make the drive over the pass. I hope everyone is doing well and that you are enjoying the your days as you prepare for your holiday celebrations.

We've watched two of the four segments of Midsomer Murders, Set 22. (On a DVD from our library.) We must be getting close to having seen 100 of these mysteries. We have one more segment of The Paradise to watch. (Recorded on DVR from PBS.) I hear there is to be another season of this adaptation of an Emile Zola story.

I have been out of town for several days but came home to beautiful mail! Shirley (sjc) sent me a lovely snowflake card. I always enjoy your one of a kind cards. Thank you so much. Speaking of snowflakes, we finally got some last night. Around midnight, the rain turned to snow. We get snow maybe every four years but this was different in that it happened at night and it was blowing...a mini snowstorm....white all over the place. This went on all night. It is almost 11:30am out here and the snow is just starting to melt off the roof. Funny, people are coming from down the hill to snowboard in the hills, throw snowballs, build snowmen and frolic in the white stuff......CBS and NBC are out and about in their trucks reporting about the snow. Huge story....LOL! It is a bit nippy...temps are hanging in the mid 30's. That is cold for us!! But it is nice...very wintery! I better get outside and build myself a snowgirl........... Thanks to this thread, I started watching Broadchurch. The second season is just coming to an end in the UK; The newest episode is available every monday night at Couchtuner.eu, which is the free streaming site I have been using. I have also watched two seasons of "The Village", another UK period drama. In some respects it is better than Downton. "Luther" is very, very good, but very dark. I have been enjoying the Doctor Who spinoff series Torchwood, and one US produced sci-fi thing The Last Ship. I really enjoyed "Welcome to Sweden" and I hope they make a second batch of it. Casey
