Are y'all familiar with The Kitchen Table forum here at GW(Houzz)? There was just a thread going about wearing wigs and a few of the girls do wear wigs so I bet you can ask them over there. This forum, unfortunately, is pretty slow here :(wig thread at the kitchen table

If you're really interested you can get some good buys on Ebay, I love Raquel Welch wigs, they're so natural looking. I tried my first one on at a hair show, at that time they were 300.00 and I bought it to use on my may trips when my hair was a mess. Since then I always have one on hand for those times when someone says "lets go" that's my cue lol. Mine has darker roots and lighter ends which makes it more like nature. I get tons of compliments on my haircut lol.

I also decided to buy one of Raquel Welchs wigs that also had darker roots to match mine. HUGE mistake for me at least. Wore it twice maybe. Maybe it was because my hair was too long, but it just never fit right, and was terribly uncomfortable. So, it now sits on a styrofoam head, attached to a 1.5' dowel on my dresser adorned with sunglasses and a baseball cap.

Amy, Could you donate it to someone that's going through cancer treatment that has lost their hair? It would be appreciated, I'm sure!

Durability of wearing a wig also depends on the type of wig that you bought (full lace wig is the most durable of all) however Wig may last from 6 months to 6years, it mainly depends how well cared, this is main rule!

about washing:

The general rule of thumb for human hair wigs is to wash them after every 10 to 12 wearings.

wig shold not shed, however anu lace wig might have some hair falling which is absoltely nothing, as you have about 50thousand strans on your full lace wig and you might be seing only few tens of strands falling time by time which is absolutely no worry thing, just simply be carefull while combing the hair thru lace, as sometimes the comb itself may damage the lace, which is a main scary point, othernthan that no worries about shedding )) enjoy ur wig n try to buy full lace wig, its light, easy and durable as well as undetectable
