Limit to links sent in a yahoo email message?
Comments (3)albert- My response was to your first post. Looking at what you subsequently wrote, I'd say that it may make sense based on whatever filtering and spam identification software Yahoo has in operation. Spam filtering is a complex and imperfect art, and that folder with many links could have looked suspicious based on whatever algorithms were at work. If you try to send the links in the folder like you did at first and it gets kicked back again, that would likely confirm that this approach won't work. However, if you can use something else, like gmail or Hotmail, it may get through....See MoreCan you message me or anyone else?????
Comments (21)yes exactly, right on target AnneCecilia. my email blocks spam well, and i never got any messages at old garden web that made me uncomfortable or anything bad. this is the one thing i dislike most about the change. that and the WHITE!!!! beyond whatever personal preference i might have, it does not facilitate the types of interactions we have...where it is usual to just interact with a stranger briefly, quickly trade some seeds, and then maybe never talk with them again. sure we had friends and some people we repeat traded with, but some good exchanges happened between strangers, without any sense of obligating oneself to more interaction than that. maybe that sounds cold or something, but in the context it worked out well...and i think that even once this settles down...there will be a lot less trading unless that is made possible by being able to email people "cold"...and have a place for that kind of interaction. whim all means we need to be able to email people without following them, otherwise there will be a whole lot less trading....See MoreAnyone else seeing this message?
Comments (5)I did send a message to Houzz early this morning when it first showed up. Odd that it was doing it on and off. Still haven't heard back from them but maybe they are working on the issue....See MoreAnyone else still affected by Nor’Easter ?
Comments (54)We are still in a winter storm warning until this evening. While we have gotten over 30" in the southern part of the state and in the mountains (ski resorts) in my area it's more like 8-10" so far. Temps are hovering around the freezing mark and the snow is clinging to everything, looking very pretty. I haven't heard of any major power outages although once the snow starts dropping off the trees and the branches bounce back that will likely change. The road crews have been doing a great job as always keeping things clear. With DH away at work I've spent a wonderful day watching the storm, reading and not doing any housework. I hope all the New Englanders are making out alright. Please check in....See MoreUser
