help me find a less$$ version of this coffee table?
Comments (18)Thanks, everyone! The C&B table is really great, joinery or no; it just strikes me as foolish to spend that much on a coffee table that will inevitably get little-boy-ified. The HD and JC tables are pine, alas, which will get dented really fast. Kathypass, that furnitureontheweb site has another table (link below) I really like, though no idea which wood it is. Have you had good experiences with this site? I'm reluctant to buy from unknown vendors. An architect friend suggested taking out the glass and putting in plexi. how does this look, does anyone know? (I suspect I am over the line as far as over-thinking/over-researching this goes!) Here is a link that might be useful: another possible coffee table...See MoreHelp me find a small trunk or coffee table with storage
Comments (15)what a nice home! I found something cool but it's 5 times more you want to pay.. so I found something else, but it's not a trunk..it does have storage though, and is round but lower and wider.. https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shop/alina-storage-ottoman?category=storage-shelving&color=020 and this is a trunk but overprised if you ask me..don't like it being distressed too much..but decided to show it to you because of the color(they have 4 more colors) https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Wanderloot-Leela-Teal-Blue-Handmade-Medallion-Coffee-Table-Trunk-India/10619059/product.html Looked at Wayfair..didn't like anyhing.. everything will be too expensive the moment it's new and good finish and all ..if you ask me. (and yes I persused really fast another 3 or 4 sites that sell stuff which quality I'd be pleased with) Unless you decide to hunt it on Craigslist or somewhere else second hand..which what I'd probably do. But you might not have time or energy or inclination.. I'd wait for a perfect piece..maybe buying this rattan thing meanwhile because can be used almost anywhere, and should be really light....See MorePlease help me with lighting and a coffee table!
Comments (70)So I was just about to post a new question here and was thinking about this thread and how so many of you wonderful humans took time out a few years ago (omg pre-pandemic!!) when I was redoing my one bedroom condo. I obvs have no idea if people continue to stay on this forum but I’m hoping at least a few people see this so I can say THANK YOU!! Long story to go along with the long years we’ve all faced from early 2020 to now, but short version is soon after I did “refreshed” my place, I moved out of the h*** that was condo living in DC amid the pandemic to stay with my folks in NC. And quickly decided I never wanted to move back to DC! So I sold my place!! And no, I do not regret for a moment the work I put into it bc (1) it looked awesome and (2) it sold within days of being on the market, at a price a tad higher than other places in my own bldg which I attribute to a bit of emotional response bc my condo looked FIRE. So thanks to everyone who made suggestions (even those I didn’t take!). I learned so much and have found so much more confidence in my ability to know what I like, how to ask for help, and most of all…not become overwhelmed with opinions!! I ask for them, but hey…people like different things, no biggie. Anyways, in case anyone is still around, thought I’d share a few pics of how it all turned out in the end. Happy spring everyone!...See MoreNeed some help finding a rug and coffee table
Comments (2)You could size it so all the legs of the sectional are on the rug. As is the piece looks like it is floating. The rug would ground it. Is it possible to mount the t v on the wall?...See Morenosoccermom
