Full StoryHello all,
I recently purchased a nikon d300. Im new to photography but am quickly learning to the technical aspects of it. I enjoy taking photos of my kids and landscapes mostly and because of this I was told by several people that I should have gotten the d700 instead. Since there is quite a bit of difference in price of both the body and the lenses I was wondering if going FX was really necessary for what I shoot.
I've been reading and watching a lot of videos but it's just making me have more questions. What, if any, are the advantages of FX over DX? If I stick with the d300, would there be any issue at all with using an FX lens? I'd like to purchase the 85mm 1.4g. Thank you!
