New addition #5 for 2014...
Comments (6)Brandy girl, you are enabling! Another wow plant! It's beautiful, what a great choice. I don't have that one...I think I'll read up on it. :-) By the way, I have an idea for adding another row/ledge to the outside of the front of your patio...the same length as your patio. A piece of 2 x 10 that can be hinged or screwed to the posts. Would they allow that if you wanted to do that? Or would that interfere with free space for parking? Home Depot will cut size to fit and help you with hardware. All you need is the inclination and a neighbour's power tool. You know you'll need more space, right? Lol Jo...See MoreI'm Hopeless. I went crazy ordering new iris this year.
Comments (32)Oh my gosh. My order from Rockytop just arrived in my afternoon mail. First off I was surprised at the really big box as I had only ordered 15 iris and that included the 5 Special Bonus that you qualify for when buying anything else. I bought 4 of their 2010 intros- BLUEBERY FUDGE MAGNIFICENT MASTERPIECE BEVS BABE BACKDRAFT Six others of various year intros- POLESTAR CABERET ACT DONACHCLONEY FABULOUS ONE MAGICAL REALISM PERRYMONT I got 6 extra special bonus iris even thought I only qualified for 5. He had told me they were out of the first i choose so I picked an alternate. But both my original choice and the alternate are both in here. I have- LAKE TANEYCOMO ROYAL VESTMENTS MACHERALON JAMAICAN BREW SURFERS DREAM BEWITCHING HOUR Then there are 8 more bonus iris. I haven't even gotten a chance to look them up yet. I have only afew and I mean afew single rhizomes and those are quite large. Many doubles and those are larger than other places sending singles and almost as large as the singles. Then some are triple rhizomes and some clumplets were they are all attached and some have even more babies coming out of the sides. Also large. Not like he needed to send the doubles or more bewcause they are small, they are not small at all. So now I know why he needed the really large box. I will be taking pictures of some of these and will have more to say about all the extras. I am simply astounded at what I recieved today. Just unbelievable. You couldn't do better. I have never seen anything like it. Just past fabulous. I am really happy to say the least :-))...See MoreLast 2013 update, bring on 2014!
Comments (14)Wow. Good news about the cancer and I'm hoping you are keeping perspective about your fertility complications. How is your DH holding up to all of this? Please don't forget about him during this time. I've seen infertility issues destroy a friends marriage when her DH felt like all he had become to her was a sperm donor. DH and I went through a cycle of IVF back in the day when the babies were called 'Test Tube Babies'. I wish you luck, balance and resolution with whatever awaits your future....See Morefiancé went to the strip club after promising not to.
Comments (65)Congratulations on finding a live doormat. I guess _you're_ happily married, but would your wife say the same thing if asked? As to not answering your questions, you totally missed MY point, which was that many men end up unfavourably comparing their wives to the fantasy girls they see at the strip clubs. And then they become dissatisfied with their wives, and then everything goes downhill. Why should a wife have to imitate a stripper to keep her husband's interest? Presumably if she wanted to be a stripper she'd have been one in the first place. If a man wants a fantasy wife, he should marry one. Yes, his wife's feelings are more important because unless that was the deal when they married, he shouldn't be moving the goalposts, especially when he can see that it's something that upsets her, makes her feel insecure and inadequate, not necessarily jealous. This is called _consideration and compromise_. No doubt there are activities his wife foregoes because she knows her husband wouldn't be happy about them....See MoreDavidL.ca
