Yoga tonight, so normally I let DH fend for himself, I grab a salad in town. But, there are no leftovers in the fridge, so tonights menu is meatloaf, butternut squash and mashed potatoes. I have it in the oven now, so it should be done early enough I can eat before yoga. If not, I reheat some when I get home.

Well, Shirley, we are on the same page tonight. We're having spaghetti but with meat sauce, garlic toast and if I feel really like putting myself out there, maybe a small salad. It's so cold here I don't feel like doing anything but drinking hot tea.

Dearest friend and I had lunch, for a catch up time. Took her to Mugshots, as she's never been there and loved loved it. They specialize in a variety of burgers, plus their awesome beer battered french fries.

My choice of burger is one I usually get.

Their Gamble Burger topped with chili, Rotel cheese, sour cream, jalapenos and lettuce.

Don't feel well, have a bad Chiari headache. So don't wanna cook. Maybe soup & a sandwich.

Tuesday trout special at Cracker Barrel.

I too was planning on having pasta......Pasta Puttanesca. We took some pants back to Costco, and while we were there, we couldn't resist the hotdog and fries. So that was dinner.

One thing we learned with Costco, is that their prices differ from store to store.

We were at the newest Costco in a neighboring city 20 minutes from here. Hubby's underwear was $3 cheaper, and their Kirkland toilet paper was $4 cheaper than our own Costco. Since the new one has gas pumps which are 4cents/litre cheaper than other gas stations, it makes it worthwhile to go there when we need toilet paper and gas!

Amazing Audrey, I had to look up Chiari; it sounds very painful. Feel better soon.

I'm making turkey burgers with some chopped jalopenos in the meat, among other things. Also baked sweet potato wedges, steamed broccoli with hollandaise. Still on my need to gain weight effort, I'll add avocado slices to my burger.

Robert came into the kitchen and about fell over when he heard me singing Dana Carvey's "Choppin Broccoli" to myself. Loudly.

It's been in my head ever since the SNL show the other night. ;-)

beer battered french fries! Oh those sound so good. Gosh no wonder I seldom visit this thread, it would be harmful to my heart.

I'm doing shrimp stir-fry with carrots and pea pods.

I have a show I want to watch in a little while so will make my comments now.

Those ff's are the best I have ever had.

Gadget Ihave suffered from them since about age 4. They have progressivly gotten worse. Now one can and usually ladt 2-3 weeks.

I just had some leftover baked corn and some cottage cheese.

My husband has been in the hospital all week, and I have been very sick for a couple of weeks, so our nearby kids have been bringing me food now and then, since my appetite is coming back. My wonderful Chinese daughter-in-law brought me a piece of boiled cod with sauce and green onions and cilantro, and some mixed crispy boiled Chinese veggies for lunch. It was the most delicious thing I have tasted in a long time!

Dinner tonight will be leftovers from previous meals. Either homemade chicken-vegetable soup from my youngest son, rice with goji berries and shredded buffalo chicken from my Chinese daughter-in-law, or deli Chinese (chicken) dumplings from another daughter-in-law. I am so very grateful right now!
