Message doesn't go even after replacing BOTH Toner & Drum. Try this Open door press Clear/Back key press *00 press OK Do not choose anything for drum replacement. I always used HP inkjets but this time I went with a Brother laser that is both black and color, it is fantastic and it is a multi function does it all, scan, copy fax print and so much more, I got it when it went on sale at office max for a little over $300. But with what I will save on not buying the expensive ink it will be worth it. I would really suggest looking at this same one it would be perfect for a small office. My husbands company uses these Brother lasers and they rarely ever have any problems other than changing the toner occasionally. They do fast delivery too. I am not kidding this thing will do stuff I will never need to do but for an office it would be great. I checked on several sites for reviews and this model had a lot of positive reviews.

My hubby is not the geek, I am. He set it up, and it's never worked. After 8 months of not having the full functionality of the 4 in 1, I thought I'd try. The software is installed for the printer. On the Network page in Win8, it shows my laptop, the cpu, but not the printer. If I right clik on the printer( on the Printer page) it shows it's offline and not connected. The printer says it is not connected to the web. It seems to be stuck on "FAX". Due to bad lighting and the cpu and printer being in a cabinet, I can't see where to unplug the printer from cpu. The directions for the printer installation are not straightforward, they change pages. After the page change, I do not get the display that the instructions show I should have on the printer. I was under the impression that the usb cable was not needed with a wi-fi connection. I do not get a wi-fi connection with the usb or without it. When it's light out, and I can see the black cable in a black cabinet bottom, I'll unplug the usb and uninstall the whole thing and start over. Which is what I should have done to start with.
