Getting Images to Show Up
Comments (28)Yes it's the same on all full zise and big sizes screen pics from picasa to flicker to whoever there should be an edit feature for sizing at each pic holding site(S) They all have differant ways of doing edits and sizing thou Example: A Size /edit the pic ( A x16 )down an them holes , blurrs halos go away as it gets smaller it gets less blurr and holes........ Do this edit/sizing at the pic sites thou not on the camrea/comp area folders the small pic you made via edit on the comp get real big and way off again at the site. I call it killing the whole pic Your red hippe pic: feed back on other problems:( just as help for you to do better ) your backlighting and room lighting is off on the WAY to bright way to much spectrum causeing for even more haze, blurrs and halos I can tell it is a hippe cause of the forum and it's shape , but would of also said its a lily of some type of posted there forum I'd of also said yes I am not sure what kind of camrea you have but even point and shots do a pretty darn good job Lighitng is key, #1, top priority, most important, even if you do have a top shelf camrea: nikon cannon (examples) 1 )check your lighitng 2)use the time of day to help 3) aim for dead center, and or to deep inside 4) ouch if you wear glasses 5) snap 6 - 10 at a time and check em on the comp 6) prior to uploading pick the best to your view from comp to upload 7) size, edit, post The more you post the more we will see, the more we see, the better you get. You can grow a hippe, I can take a pic. I'm trying to grow a hippe.. I think you get the rest....See Moredraft faq on html
Comments (24)So I seem to have been able to do all that I wanted to know how to do. Now for some comments... I like knowing how to change the font, but I agree, I would use it rarely. What I find myself wishing I could do on a fairly regular basis, is putting something in italics, underlining a book title, putting a word in bold. As for the color, something else I would rarely go to the trouble of using, but again, I would like to know how to for that rare occasion when I might. Such as in a Christmas greetings thread or something like that. Most of the time I would not take the time to do that. As a matter of fact, I use the firefox browser and if you notice when I tried to use the color tags, I thought it didn't work. That is because firefox limits html commands when using their browser and I didn't see any red words. I realized that you did and I went and used Internet Explorer and sure enough, I saw the word red in red ink. Strangely, I didn't see the other effects. That was confusing and I have no idea why. BUT, in the browser that I use every day, the commands I wanted to use work fine with the directions you gave me. So I am all set. The thing I wanted most to do and will probably use more frequently than the others, is posting a photo inside the post. I used to use Tinypic, but at some point something changed and I was pasting the command they were providing and it still wasn't working. So these directions worked for me. I compared the command you were suggesting to the command Tinypic provided and they were different. But I think I would still use the Tinypic site to upload the photo and then just change the command where needed. Finally, on Nan's concern about resizing the photos. I assume that the concern is the time it takes to open a thread for someone on dial up when one of the photos is oversized. So the photo I posted above, is oversized? If that is a problem, I will go back and review the directions for resizing. Hope that helps. :-)...See MoreNeed HTML Code for Submit Button
Comments (2)I tried both codes and could get neither to work. It must be something that I am missing??? Anyway..thanks to both of you for your help. And yes, Rob, I know what you mean about hitting the "reset" button by accident! J My form is for filling out if you are interested in a job. Name, address, certification, etc. Then we send by mail an application. It is working like I wanted it to except that when the "submit" button is clicked it shows that e-mail is being sent and then nothing else. I want it to link to a "Thank you" page. I think the information that I've been given about making the link is correct...I'm just not putting it into action correctly! Thanks, MaryAnn...See Morelooking for html tags for gardenweb.....help!!!
Comments (16)I am not linking to an external source just making HTML within the editing box given by Garden Web. So here's my dilemma. I can remove to extra bullets above the pics using (p) but I have to run all of my script together as follows: This is how it looks now with an "invisible" line of equal signs so that I can keep my entries separate. (a href="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/nettasaura/seedtradepics/33247996.jpg" target="_blank") (img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/nettasaura/seedtradepics/th_33247996.jpg" width=60 height=60)(/a) (b)AGERATUM(/b) '06(T) - "Blue Mink" - (i)(ageratum houstonianum)(/i) - blue - 2 packs/30 seeds each =========================================================== (a href="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/nettasaura/seedtradepics/AlyssumRosieODay.jpg" target="_blank") (img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/nettasaura/seedtradepics/th_AlyssumRosieODay.jpg" width=60 height=60)(/a) (b)ALYSSUM(/b) '06(C) - "Rosie O'Day" - (i)(lobularia maritima)(/i) - pink - 1 pack/50+ seeds each =========================================================== Apparently in order to get rid of those top bullets I have to run everything together like this. And as you can see that would make it very hard (especially in that narrow editing box you are given)to make quick and efficient trades when I have to dig through all of this with no separation for entries...and I have an update of at least a hundred items coming in the next few weeks. (a href="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/nettasaura/seedtradepics/33247996.jpg" target="_blank") (img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/nettasaura/seedtradepics/th_33247996.jpg" width=60 height=60)(/a) (b)AGERATUM(/b) '06(T) - "Blue Mink" - (i)(ageratum houstonianum)(/i) - blue - 2 packs/30 seeds each(p)(a href="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/nettasaura/seedtradepics/AlyssumRosieODay.jpg" target="_blank") (img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/nettasaura/seedtradepics/th_AlyssumRosieODay.jpg" width=60 height=60)(/a) (b)ALYSSUM(/b) '06(C) - "Rosie O'Day" - (i)(lobularia maritima)(/i) - pink - 1 pack/50+ seeds each(p) So do I just have to live with the extra bullets in order to make my life easier? Thanks, Netta...See MoreUser
