Name the best looking dahlias you've grown?
Comments (26)I would have a different list every day! As I have been going through mine digging the ones that need dividing I notice others I didn't think of when I last posted a list. Here is the March 2012 version of the ones I can't wait to see again... Carmen Bunky Newaukum Grape Diva Jordan Nicole Sheer Heavens October Skies, All that Jazz Merlot Wyoming Wedding Lemon Kiss Cyma Warrior. Ask me tomorrow and I will have a different list! This makes it really hard to pick 20 to eliminate to make room for new ones. THe only one I know of yet to eliminate is Ahoy Matey, And a Purple that always had a blank center last year. The rest are going to be really hard! Some will probably be moved up around the house....See Morethread not changing color after being read
Comments (5)What browser are you using? In my case it was the version of Chrome that I was using. Now that Chrome has updated again, all is well. It was okay in Firefox also. I don't use Internet Explorer, so I don't know about that one. If you are using XP rather than Win 7 or 8, then the latest version of IE you can use is version 8, so you would be better off using Firefox or Chrome, in my opinion. Be sure to read all the posts in the thread zep gave you, as they are very helpful....See MoreDH doesn't see the need to change~~
Comments (30)I have asked his children......they said they don't want it...have a houseful of their own already. I know nothing about craigslist....are they like Ebay? Do you have to join and what is the commission rate? I have checked for a couple things on craigslist, and there is never anything remotely near to where we live.....rural Kansas. I am still thinking maybe we can take it to the auction house. I asked him tonight if he was "attached" to his Hummels (because that just isn't my thing...even told him I was going to part with my Zolan plate collection)...and he said the only things he was really attached to was a water color painting done by a famous artist and two bronze statues of bears that he bought when he lived in Montana. So maybe he is not as "attached" as he seemed to be....I'll keep "working" on him. I had a garage sale last spring and did make enough to buy the new dining room chairs, but everytime I mention looking for new ones, he doesn't want to go and I do not want to spend that kind of money for 8-10 chairs without him seeing them....because if they are not comfortable enough for him, he wouldn't be happy with them and then I don't think I would be able to enjoy them either....See MoreYou've got to see this CL find! Balloon chair
Comments (33)Your chair will be wonderful to see when you finish. DD and I stayed at Hotel Monaco in Portland, OR some time back and enjoyed seeing balloon style chairs there in a part of their extended foyer. I had not remembered exactly what theirs looked like, (just had fun sitting in them), but this photo below was one from their website...and it's a much smaller style and has more open arms, but still with the covered top. I love the fabric you're planning to use and think that will be so great looking. BTW, thanks for the info about Joann's since I've been eyeing a home dec fabric there, so this wkend will be a great time to get it! Can hardly wait to see your finished chair....See MoreTamara
