Testing Photo Uploading
Comments (6)We are suppose to get rain later today into Friday and then the cold temps will be coming back again with snow next week. We are happy to have temps get into the 40's even if it is for a few days. Feels like a heat wave LOL. I see on the weather forecast your area is getting some terrific storms moving in. Hard winter for you as well? Julia...See MoreGW Testing Easy Photo Uploading
Comments (5)It's a great new option, and I have not had to un block any thing, I have firefox with adblock plus and easylist, so no need to see the ads. The reason for them to do this is so they can try to control the size of the picture files people are adding to their posts. The new option has a size limit. This is a good thing. When someone includes a huge file it can seriously slow down page load speed and for those on dialup that can make access frustratingly slow. My guess is that you may have some thing else blocked like java? I am very happy to see this new option and hope they work out the bugs and get it implemented....See MoreMore photo upload testing
Comments (15)I wanted to check how this tall skinny photo would show up. I noticed that all of the other pictures seemed to be resized to the same width and that the thumbnail or preview was the same size as the photo when clicked on. I liked it better when the thumbnails were small and then you could click on it to get a large photo. Anyway, this photo is one I took this week of a bromeliad in my back yard that I've had for two years, and this is the first time it has bloomed. It has two spikes, but one is much taller and bigger than the other. I had no idea what the flowers would look like, and I was a bit disappointed at first, but now I'm getting used to it, especially since the flowers seem to last quite a long time. The purple parts haven't even opened yet, and it's had spikes for a month now. It's got wicked leaves - like a very sharp saw blade - and so it is difficult to tend, but it seems impervious to pests of any kind. Lars...See MorePhoto Uploading on our Forums
Comments (14)If you click on the resized picture, it will open in its original size in another window. We're still making tweaks and adjustments and that instruction will also appear in the uploading instructions so that members will know to do this. When I saved the photo of the dandelion to my computer, I mistakenly saved a thumbnail of my picture, which was actually smaller than the image you see on this page. That is why it looks a bit blurry, because it was blown up to fit the default dimensions for our photo display....See Morezephyrgal pacific nw
