This is known as the Penn Dot Road Signs Sculpture Garden. Constructed by Allegheny College students and state department transportation employees. The whole thing fronts the road dept. storage yard and is 1/4 mile long.

Sherry - that's a very handsome boy in the garden! aftermidnight - that's a very handsome frog too :-) Will it turn into a prince with the application of some affection?! min3 - interesting coloring on the fox - is that the common color there? Foxes around here are the classic red color.

I've been working on updating our garden maintenance manual for the changes we made to the garden in 2014, and thinking about what needs doing this year. A nephew was a big help this past spring when we were upgrading the base under some of the paths before refreshing the pine bark mulch topping. Hopefully he'll be available to help with a few things this spring as well. I like this picture of my garden helpers last May in 'the wet corner' area:. (DH, nephew, BIL's Airedale, our poodle - a 'failed' dog guide made available to purchase as a pet... Gardening is a family affair :-)

I like all of your garden helpers too! I have several small dogs of my own that help me. Just love the picture of my daughters dog in the garden. Wouldn't be without my furry helpers in the yard!

Woody- I read that non-native foxes have been "introduced" in my area. It seems that the only native red ones are in the Sierra Nevada area and are quite endangered. Since this one is the first fox I've seen, I'm assuming its one of the introductions and I'm very glad its here and hope it has a big thriving family. Min

I would totally buy that one way-stop sign sunflower thingie if I saw that at an art show!

Since the tree & shrub thread went flooey before I had a chance to say how absolutely fabulous your Monkey Puzzle tree is I will say it now. It does fit in the random category lol! They sell them here but they are very iffy in my zone.

Well, we can't post photos from Photobucket or Flikr. This is a real pain. I can find my stuff easily on Photobucket or Flikr, but it took me 35 minutes to find a photo that I wanted to post on the Antique Rose Forum this morning. The photos on my computer are in date order, but how do I remember which year I took a particular photo of a particular rose?
