I've seen the red kind, in a small pot, being sold here, as a house plant. Hope those are a little more compact.

Lovely to see the velvety paws.

I was in WA last year and saw lots of Kangaroo Paws. They won't grow here but one place that has lots of them are the botanical gardens in Cranbourne. Went there a couple of years back with my sister (she lives not far from there). They've got a good collection of all sorts of plants.

the experiment was to see if the seedlings would survive in a cold dark place through Winter with little food or attention,just mulched and watered,Maybe we were lucky to have no frosts and the brick fence for help.So we say the experiment was successful and we will try some more later on.
