I am in Western Virginia and would like opinions on which to go with: OKNA 500 or the Alside Meezo. Both double pane, argon gas and grids. The sales rep kept telling me the Meezo is a premium window.
1) Search any Alside Window on this site 2) Find a new sales rep (will become clear why after searching Alside) 3) Look up Windows on Washington, and see if he serves your area as he is one the best around.
Can't add much more. The Okna 500 is a superior window in every measurable area, and is a company known for premium quality and performance. There are other products out there which are competitive with it, however that unit is not one IMO. Secondly, if Windows on Washington serves your area, that is a slam dunk. Excellent outfit.
what concerns me about the alside mezzo is the fact that it's not able to come in triple pane glass. This tells me the frame is weak and cannot handle the additional weight which is only slight. its still a concern even if you only want double pane. also, from what I am told, its not available with a foam filled frame. additionally, if you pull the keeper, it bends very easily and feels flimsy. the okna is built stronger.
