Similar items - when is enough enough?

Was at the thrift store recently and saw two white pitchers I really like.

I carried the plain white one all through the place only to put it back. I already have a white pitcher that's very similar. Mine is taller and slightly different. I'll be using it mainly for flowers this spring and summer. The different shapes are versatile, but how many white pitchers do you really need?

The white duck I think is kind of quirky fun, but my hutch is only so big.

I purged a lot of decorative stuff (mainly resin and glitter) some time ago and am more selective. I run into this with other items like silver trays, baskets, etc. Usually things don't come home with me anymore unless I really like them and believe they're different enough to get used.

I usually find that if I walk away completely (as in go home), and still want the item, I can go purchase it without buyers remorse. I'm still tempted today to go buy the plain white one.
