Will the faucet be on the wall or to the side of the sink? Have you thought about a farmhouse sink? Have you checked out Kohler's strive or stages sinks?

I definitely don't want a farmhouse sink, I don't like the style.

The faucet is going to be standard deck mounted, behind the sink.

I just checked the Kohler sinks but they are all 18 inch front to back, I'm looking for a 15-16 inch front to back.

Any other suggestions?

It will be a lot easier if you wall mount or side mount the faucet.

You could go custom in stainless, copper, soapstone, slate, granite. . . .

The fireclay farmhouse sinks are usually 18 inches front to back. I think the stainless ones are as well. The kohler cast iron ones are bigger, I think, though if you are willing to have the sink protrude some, it's possible a bigger dimension would work.

I'm in the same position for my main sink run, though I do have a couple more inches. I'm think I am going with the kolher stages 45 and a wall mount faucet. Good luck finding the right sink!

You need a trough sink, mounted crosswise in the cabinet, with a faucet on one end, not behind.

I do want, essentially, a trough sink, though all the ones I have looked at have been far to narrow (6-8 inches) for my purpose.

I want a long, as deep (front to back) as I can get sink to do prep work in.

I appreciate the info and comments but a wall mounted or faucet mounted on the end is not going to happen. I don't want a faucet like that, I just want to find a decent sink that is 15-16 inches front to back and 20-25 inches side to side.

If anyone else has found or has a sink like that, I would love the info.

Custom work from a local metal shop is probably your best bet.

I could not get the link to work....so long as your dinner plates can sit flat in the sink you'll be able to make it work. It would be better if your frying pan could sit flat too...

Chinese garbage brand sinks are not a product that I would want to cut a hole in stone and affix permanently to the counter. Stone doesn't grow back, and isn't cheap. It's a lifetime commitment. Choose wisely.

The dimensions of the sink bowl are 25 x 16.
