Comments (7)I have replanted in the same place many, many times, but I've always waited a year. The one rose that kept coming back had been in the same place for about a hundred years (based on the remembrance of a neighbor in his 90s who had been caught by the paired thorns at the base of each leaf node when he was pushed into the mature rose as a little boy.) It had roots going out fifteen feet into the yard and it kept sprouting RRD sick growth for 18 months after we removed the original bush. Give yourself at least through the rainy period next winter and early spring growth. And watch like a rose hawk. Ann...See MoreWind Chimes and Roses
Comments (7)Kate-- Their is really two reasons, the first is I can work around the bushes by sitting on the concrete blocks without having to step into the beds and also with starting with good humus we find that you can get rid of tough weeds and fertilizing and watering is a whole lot easier also.--Ron...See MoreWind Chimes
Comments (28)My neighbouhood might be odd, but we all seem to love the sound of wind chimes. One of our neighbours lost the oak tree in her backyard in the ice storm we had this winter. She always hung a wind chime from it, and all of us realized she had no more tree to hang it on when we didn't hear her beautiful chimes this Spring. So my next door neighbour (who lives in the house behind them) asked if she could hang if from her own tree so we could all still enjoy it. She happily agreed and we all get to hear the soft beautiful chimes when the wind picks up. I'd say it sounds most like this one:http://www.whimsicalwinds.com/p/Grace_Note_50_Inch_Petite_Steeple_Wind_Chime_Sunrise_Serenade.html#.U5j00uQg_IU...See Moresleeperblues
