Hi Kelli, I tried to email you a response but it didnt go through. I have plenty of the red cypress vine, however the danish poppy and black cloud are out. I am expecting some lilac pom pom to arrive in a few days, its a beauty! If your in no hurry I can subsitute some of that instead. Also the Red Zinger isnt ready to harvest yet, but will be soon. I saw a few I would love to have in your list too, the echinacea, monarda, and the hyacinth bean. I think my email is listed above in one of the replys. OK I just watch Bonnie's (highalttransplant)garden video from this week and she featured the Aci Sivri pepper which does not look like your pods. She did also feature a Whippet's Tail (aka Joe's long) which is basically a long thin cayenne, hers are growing very similarly to yours. It's way more likely that the HD seeds you got were long slim cayennes and they happen to be growing particularly long and slim for you this year. And yes, I have been thinking about this since yesterday. No, I don't have a life. What else... Rainfall. How much over the whole of the year, and when in the year. How much mist? How high are you above sea level? Does your property face the sun (South, for you) or are you shaded by hills, buildings, whatever, and don't see the sun until later in the day? Does the frost take it's time about melting, even when it's sunny? When is your first/last frost of significance (the one that terminates the tomatoes or mushies the young bean plants)? Is your soil acid, or alkaline or neutral? 6,5,4 is tending acid. 8,9 is tending alkaline. 6.5-7.5 is around the neutral range. You can buy a home test kit from your garden centre or farmers' supply depot. With maples and cherries, I'd guess at moderately acid - especially if you have pines and native rhododendrons in your woods/bush. How deep is the topsoil, and does it dry out over the summer? Do you have boggy patches in the woods, or is it mostly well-drained after the heavy rains? How dense are the roots in the area where you might want to have planting pockets for treasures? And what sort of shade??? Do the trees cast shadows sprinkled with patches of light on a sunny day? (Dappled light.) Or does it look as gloomy as a winter day when you go in on a summer's day? (Dense shade) Dry shade is the sort of thing you get on the north side of the house under the eaves. Rarely gets natural moisture. A useful zone for drying out bulbs over summer, but can be a gardening challenge. Hope that's helped a bit.

The store did not "tell" me anything: this was an antique mall with each dealer having a section, and one clerk to do the sales. I did not ask any questions. I could tell that the rewiring was new so plugged it in to check that it worked, and bought it. I should have been more clear: I donÂt think it was plated with "real" gold; just something gold-ish in color. There are several metals used to electroplate that look "like" gold. The top is plated pretty heavily: there is no wear. But there is a chip that shows the base metal underneath. There IS wear on the stem and other projecting fittings that makes it look like it was either lightly plated there or painted. The base is plated/painted in both silver and gold; the wear/scratches there show a grey metal underneath. If it was painted it was a LONG time ago. Some old lamps must have been painted originally. I have another vintage lamp, downbridge style, found in my grandparents basement that is some cast metal. This was also painted, and the paint is original (gold with flowers painted in blue and pink); I know no one would have painted it later. My Dad (80 at the time) said it had been down there gathering dust as long as he could remember. There was at least 70 years worth of dirt on it when I took it home and cleaned it up. I didnÂt buy this one because I thought it was valuable, but because I thought it was neat! And would look even better with a shade. SOME kind of shade. To make it function better in my house it needs this; otherwise the glare from the exposed bulb hits you from any angle.
