Oxalis obtusa pollination?

rredbbeard

I attempted to cross pollinate some of my o.obtusa bulbs, and a few days later, the flower stems have bent down at a 90 angle. I thought at first my effort had failed, but the stems remain green. Did the pollination work, and if so, how long do these take to ripen in a cool environment?

I've heard that the ripe seed pods tend to burst and scatter seeds. Is this true? I'm finding seedlings in other pots where I didn't put them, and the potting mediums weren't recycled--something worked last year!

Thanks,
Rick in CT
