Super Bowl Time!

OK... The New England Patriots are in their 8th Super Bowl with two recent losses to the NY Giants in the Belichick/Brady era & I know there's a few Pacific NW members that are regulars here, not to leave out all the TX members licking their wounds.One of the recent Patriots Mantra is "Do your job!".

On my way home today I saw a neat sign that posted: Finish the job!

I made delicious crockpot meatballs at one of our Christmas gatherings. I used two large bags of frozen meatballs (I did one turkey, one beef). Two cans of cranberry sauce (the gelatin style one), and an equal amount of your favorite bbq sauce. 4-5 hours on low in the crockpot. Delicious!

I'm with you wanttoretire. One of my best memories while living back in my home state was watching the University of Michigan Marching Band at half-time---this was back in the late 1950ties. Our high school had a pretty good band with the drum major & majorettes, but they, of course, couldn't compare with the Uni. And my favorite "exercise record" is The Sound Of A Marching Band in "stereophonic sound" no less!!. 22 minutes on each side full of stirring march music, including Sousa, college march songs, 76 Trombones, Colonel Bogey March, etc. etc. At 44 minutes a couple times a day, I'm exhausted from all my personal marching. Yep, I miss THOSE half-times.

It seems like every year the person singing the Anthem has to out do the previous singer with extra notes and seeing how long they can hold a note, up and down fowards and backwards and sideways. It is totally disgusting. This goes for Nascar races too. I wish the people who are chosen to sing the National Anthem for any event would sing it the way it is supposed to be sung without adding anything else to it. I felt embarrasement for BEP's and Christina. Both were horrible!

If it's offered by a major network, it's going to be legit. But that would more than likely be a link, not a download. Actually downloading something to watch a game would be highly suspicious to me and is likely the reason why you got the virus. I would seriously research any download before doing anything like that, especially anything from an unrecognized random site. And in general you can always run any link or file downloaded through virustotal.com, which will analyze it and provide a report. Besides the major networks, here are some articles with links to sites for streaming sports. A number of those sites provide streams from Europe, etc., so the quality's not always so great. Wiziwig used to be popular but was shut down. That's easy-peasy, I had 50 on the Pats & 50 on the under, what my bookie would call an Ofer as in 0-fer-2 bet. The NFL channel has been rerunning all the Super Bowls and I relived all the Pats highlights & lowlights over the years. It was the '85 Pats but the score eludes me without looking, I was thinking 50something to 7..Ah, 46 - 10. And who could forget losing to "The Fridge"!

You're right... that was the "easy" answer. But the wrong answer.

1963 AFL Championship. MY Chargers 51, Your Pats 10. The only championship San Diegans can hang a hat on.

I always learn something here and today was no different.

I learned the Chargers have gone 20 years since their one and only Super Bowl appearance which was a loss.

Yeah. San Diego doesn't produce championships. We just produce HOF'ers homegrown style. Hell! 4 of the finalists for this year's HOF are San Diego bred.... Seau, Brown, Lynch, and Davis.

I think Boston can thank SD for quite possibly the best hitter of all-time...Ted Williams!

SEA was a good team... But haters leave out the fact that they were on the 5-yard line because of the Tyree-like catch that was made the play before. Both teams deserved to be there, could have gone either way, but NE has had its last minute heartbreakers and you cant expect their fans to feel guilty for savoring this win...
