Display only means they got it - ain't sellin' any. I think you can buy any ones you want in your zone,some do better than others in any of the zones. They need 6+ hrs of sun, and need water supplement the first year to get established,then really just when it gets dry. They are pretty tough. Maddielee, it's tempered glass and there are marks on both pieces in the lower corners. Simpson also has a mark in another corner and they are virtually invisible. Just put on my polarized sunglasses and couldn't see it, though without trying (squinting, crossing eyes, various angles, etc.). Cleaned with Windex and microfiber cloth. Nothing. Outdoor and indoor temps are about the same, +/- 73. I think they key yesterday was that it was a good 20 degrees cooler outside than in. I will try it again in the early morning when it's chilly outside.

I think that there is still much controversy over 'Hume's Blush'. I find that someone finding a rose and declaring it the old lost rose is a little sketchy when we have only illustrations and varying descriptions to go on. I would like to see more dna analysis (of course there is the who is going to pay for those problem) before lost and found roses are declared to be a certain rose. Sometimes people see what they want to see. I think the Noisette Studies are a very good example of good protocol. Now there is both Beale's 'Hume's Blush', a rose found in China in Pingwa, and a Laos version which was collected by Dr. Y. Ueda in 1999 at the home garden of a farmer in Pakxong, Champasak, southern Laos., a found Bermuda Rose, "Bermuda Spice" and "Agnes Smith" from Australia which all are vying for the title. Is this the same rose Hume had in his garden that he brought back from China? I just don't know. I look forward to reading about 'Park's Yellow Tea-Scented Rose'. Speaking of tea scented I know there is controvery there too. I have found that many dried roses when I deadhead them smell like dried tea. Yes, another idea of the name "Tea Rose" :). It is all fun though, controversy gets people thinking and excited.
