Congrats that it is growing!

An easy way to tell if you've GDT (Jasminum sambac 'Grand Duke of Tuscany') is the leaves will be more rounded than GDS (Grand Duke Supreme) which has more pointed leaves.
From what I've read GDT is slower growing than GDS.
I have GDS and it's a beast!

Of course the first thing I'm going to recommend is snapping some pics so we can see what size pot your plant is growing in and how large the plant is, etc.
What kind of potting medium are you using? My sambac jasmines thrive in the fast draining 5:1:1 mix.

Have you tried to gently turn the pot over while cupping the root ball with your hand to see if the roots are circling the pot yet? I also look for roots snaking out of the drainage holes in the pots.
When GDS is actively growing it will want a larger pot or you're going to have to water daily if not more often.

I have my jasmines outside in full sun when nights are 60 and above and I use Dynamite slow release fertilizer plus I give them liquid Dyna-Gro Foliage-Pro about every two weeks or so.

Okay. That's my basic tips on how I grow my jasmines.

Hi Robert. I apologize for not responding to your comment sooner. I have just had a lot of over things going, but I truly do appreciate your help. I went back through the older posts and found your comment on your GDS. I ordered from the Ebay link you posted, so I know now it's GDS!

Okay, now to answer your questions. The pot is 6 in across and a little over 5 inches deep. The vine itself is 11 in tall. Since I posted this thread, the two buds that finally started growing are really doing well. The largest growth is now about 2 inches long, and the other is around a half an inch but I also see a 3rd but right in the same area that has swollen and is about to start growing.

I think tomorrow I will just go ahead and repot it since it is doing so well. Just like you said above, either repot it or water daily, if not more...I could water daily, and now that I am finally getting the kind of growth that I am seeing, I am convinced it is the right time! Especially considering the fact that this Jasmine only receives strong morning light!

I cannot wait to get my first flower bud Robert! I know I could go back and find this out on my own, but does this particular variety bloom on new wood? I am assuming it does based on the pictures of your beast!

Hooray! Glad you got a GDS though I am tempted by GDT because I've heard the scent is different but I've got so many jasmines already. Laugh.

Yes, they flower at the tips of new growth so hopefully this summer you'll have some blooms to sniff. :)
