Kai, The words "Lone Star" refers to the state of Texas, which has a single star on its state flag, therefore, the name the "lone star" state. Perhaps there was a series of lone star violets developed by one of the hybridizers from Texas.
Kai, The hybridizer is named Richard Nicholas. Here is a link on various articles about Texas hybridizers. Another Texas hybridizer is Hortense Pittman http://www.lsavc.org/hybrids.html Joanne
Thanks a lot, Joanne! I will be googling about Richard Nicholas in no time. Moreover, Every H. Pittman's variety is always my first choice to choose, loving her every variety of course. Kai PS. Please excuse my kind of weird in language too!
I have leaves rooting of Lonestar Helen Mahr, Daybreak, Twilight, & Snowstorm. These along with Lady are the only varieties of Richard Nicholas I know to be available. If anyone knows of any others, please let me know.
