I googled croton and some of them look similar. I haven't found the exact kind yet though. Mine has long narrow leaves with sparsely distributed speckles and the leaves are always green.

Thank you for your quick response mr subjunctive. I saw this a few days ago and thought I had responded to it, but now I dont see my follow up!!! I had a couple of questions on your answers !) Xanadu - when I purchased the plant, a few of the leaves were brown. They are turning browner now. Is there something I can do to salvage them, or should I just trim them off? Also when do the leaves get to the size that your photo link suggests? 2) Pedilanthus - The photo link you sent shows the plant with open leaves. Mine are still closed. What can I do to have them open up?
