Its watery in no time, but is still fine onf a sandwich or potat salad. Here houses are about 50-100 feet apart side by, but a 1/4 mile back and 2 miles in front all woods. Living alone like me, has its good things too, and I sure don't have to keep up the place if it gets a bit of garden dirt on the kithen floor, and i have no free time to immediatly clean it up. Vacuum yestrday was to remove a pound of dirt from in front of my computer, which was on the soles of my shoes. What do you do in winter when there is 2-3 feet of snow oustide? Here, that's a common occurance, and you deal with it

I have small wide feet. Very difficult getting shoes. Years ago, for work, my go to was Naturalizer because they offered wide. When I stopped working and had my daughters, I was in Nike or New balance sneakers. My sneakers now are Nike. I had to order and send back so many pairs as the stores didn't carry wide. Now it's crocs (so many cute ones now a days), Bernardo flip flops, Easy Spirit, a Reiker loafer I bought years ago. (I had the sense to stockpile two extras and now I'm on the last pair. I have some Aerosole, but from years ago. Nothing seems to fit there. Added woe. The Easy Spirit store closed. Macy's bought Easy Spirit so they might begin to show more, but Macy's isn't really convenient for me either. I have one pair of Ecco shoes, but they aren't really comfortable. I wear the Ecco sandals all summer for taking long walks.

First, is hard toe (steel toes) required? If so, your choices are restricted to shoes with toe protection; If not, choices are much wider. Eight hour foot comfort is a prime consideration. In my younger days, I worked as a carry out and stock boy at a grocer. I wore a pair of high top gym shoes thinking these would be better that street shoes. Nope, my feet were killing me before my 8 hr shift was finished. You'll have to determine what's best for you. Sometimes, a well fitting shoe with a firm foot bed works better than a very soft sole. The problem with those gym shoes was that the gradations of softness in the sole was not good for long term standing; It was good for absorbing shock. My experience has been that the heel support is the most important. There should be enough resilience in the heel to absorb some shock. There should be some tread pattern and material choice to lessen slipping on wet spots on the floor. One of the most comfortable sole I have worn was of 100% crepe rubber, however, these became the most dangerous as well. When stepping on wet, hard floors, these soles can suddenly, without warning, shoot out from under you. I have fallen due to that factor.
