Those kidders are just toying with you Calpat. Can you just barely unearth where the stalk is emerging to get an idea which way the tuber lies and then reposition the cage? The tomato cages I have used are fairly wide and I can't imagine that you would do any damage at this early stage. It would be a shame to not be able to use your support system as intended. My two cents.

Might be easier if we list the next course to be posted. :) OK, so we need a veggie. How about the Cauliflower dish Trudy posted from Food and Wine? Roasted Cauliflower with Green Olives and Pine Nuts ACTIVE TIME: 10 MIN TOTAL TIME: 40 MIN SERVES: 4 Roasting cauliflower caramelizes the florets, making them supersweet. Tossed with crunchy pine nuts and salty olives and capers, this dish is perfect with roasted chicken or steamed fish. Ingredients 1 pound cauliflower, cut into 1-inch florets 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil Salt and freshly ground pepper 2 tablespoons pine nuts 1/3 cup chopped pitted green olives 1 tablespoon chopped flat-leaf parsley 1 tablespoon drained capers Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 425Â°. In a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish, toss the cauliflower with the oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast for 20 minutes, or until the cauliflower is lightly browned in spots. Add the pine nuts, olives, parsley and capers, toss and roast for about 10 minutes longer, until the pine nuts are lightly toasted. Serve warm or at room temperature. Thanks for your reply Dana! Things are looking up since I last posted. My husband brought home boxes for his son to start packing, which he has started doing. I did a little investigating of my own. I checked the apartments website and found that there were apartments available for 6/8, which is where he probably got the date from. The other day when stepson left for work, I checked his room and found the filled out application, and 2 check receipts for checks written out to the apartment complex. I hated to snoop, but felt I had a right to know what was going on considering his track record. It looks like he is moving out on 6/8. He asked if my husband would be available to help him that day since my husband has a pickup truck. He also asked his older brother and a friend to help him. His brother confirmed that to my husband. Things are looking good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks Susie! Sounds as if you have some great butterfly plants. I did the same thing that you did and am now digging up and moving plants to better spots with the appropriate companion plants. I buy what I like and then try to find a place for it :) I will say though, that sometimes chaotic just looks more natural as long as you have 3 or so of each plant grouped , not 20 different plants. I personally like purple and blue flowers pared with gold or orange flowers. A favorite combo is purple penta with orange Lion's ear. I know what you mean about the reds, there are so many shades and many have an orange cast which in my opinion don't look good with the pinkish casted reds. Now that you know what colors the blooms are, you can dig up and replant with the colors that you find pleasing together. A good rule of thumb if you're not sure what colors to pair, use a color wheel....it takes a lot of the guessing out of the equation. I learned this years ago in art class. I found this simple one on the web. The easiest thing to remember is that you can't go wrong if you: 1) Pick 2 to 3 analogous colors (touch each other on the wheel) 2) Pick 2 complimentary colors (across from each other on the wheel) 3) Pick 3 triadic colors (equal distance apart on the wheel) Most important thing is to plant what you enjoy and don't worry if they may not be matchy matchy.
