Colleen, I go to the library a lot also~~~I do not mind 2bucks for a book~~I will read them, then take them to my senior center where someone else will get pleasure from them;)

It really doesn't matter whether you read them in order, but I did, just to be sure I didn't miss anything. I loved the series (some were better than others), and can't wait to read the final one. Wanda, is the Jack Reacher series finished? I hope not! I read not too long ago that Lee Child had been quoted as saying he would kill Reacher off when people stopped buying his books. Surely that hasn't happened.....

Probably more than you want to know, but I get obsessed with knowing things. In reading the list I see they recommend reading book No. 8 first, as it is a prequel to the first book, Killing Floor. It looks like he has a new one coming out named "61 Hours." "If you're a diehard must-be-read-in-chronological-order person: The Enemy (the prequel); Killing Floor; Die Trying; Tripwire; Running Blind; Echo Burning; Without Fail; Persuader; One Shot; The Hard Way; Bad Luck and Trouble; Nothing to Lose; Gone Tomorrow"

I am just about in the middle of Jodi Picoult's "Handle With Care". I really like her books, she is very good at what she does, shows how everyday people handle life altering situations. I always feel like I've learned something, too. Joan Eileen, you might also like "The Nightingale" by Kristen Hannah. It also takes place in France during World War II. She is another of my favorite authors, I've read a number of her books, including "True Colors" . I thought it was the best yet until I read "The Nightingale" , it has far surpassed any previous book. In my humble opinion, anyway. Rusty
