Tree/fruit identifier PLEASE

hi
I moved into my current home around 3 years ago & there is a small tre in the garden that bears fruit first the tree flowers smallish clusters of pale tiny flowers then green to the end up almost black berries grown these fall off ( i presume when ripe?) and when squished the flesh is a dark red/purple colour with a little stone in i have 2 dogs 1 has eaten the odd berry although i do scold but i worry now as i have a puppy and am tying him up outside out of chomping way as i worry he may eat
I would like to know what tree & if the berries are edible etc Thankyo in advance
the tree stands aroud 25 ft its an evergreen and berries are here now leaves are around ainch inch half long wide to narrow tip berries (obv) form off the clusters of flowers if this helps

I'd say that was Prunus lusitanica, the Portuguese laurel.

Don't eat the fruit, it's toxic and will cause stomach upsets.

That bark says cherry to me. I see cherries turning red on quite a few neighborhood trees in the Bountiful area, but I also noted freezes during bloom that appear to have impacted other cherry trees. Freezes earlier in the year may have something to do with the lack of fruit. There are a lot of cherry trees in Utah, so unless you are in a new development area, I'd be surprised if there weren't some nearby.

The last one looks like black walnut, but a closeup of the compound leaves will help confirm an ID. I agree that the top two look like blackberries. Quality of wild plants can be hit or miss, but even if you don't like them the birds will. Blackberries can get invasive, though.

This looks like a cluster fig tree to me. Grows wild in Indian subcontinent and has medicinal use in Ayurveda, an ancient form of healing. It is known as dumur in Bengal area and can go by many other names depending upon which part of India you are in.

I think it's Prunus laurocerasus - but the advice is the same. It's not edible.
