I sold my last thing ever before Christmas on EBay. Buyers can now return purchases for simply saying "not as listed". It was a Coach bag that was listed as used and I showed five pictures of the worn areas on the red leather. I had to pay the return shipping that was almost double the amount that I paid to ship to the buyer. Still had to pay the 10% on the total sale (including) shipping for the final sale amount to Ebay. I'll never sell on Ebay again. Sorry to rant but I'm still mad about this!!!

By all means give it a go if there's a sharp gravelly spot in full sun. But average maximum summer temp in that part of the country is about 68f. It rains regularly and pretty much equally all year round, as much in August as in January. As I say, I don't recall ever seeing this plant growing happily anywhere in the U.K. Campanula might know different from the perspective of East Anglia. But County Durham is not known for its hot dry climate!

If you're going to remove it, the sooner the better. The longer it sits, the stronger the bond between the tile and the backer board. You'll eat the cost of the demo. Shouldn't be too bad. If it's removed now, it's likely the backer board on the floor will not need significant repair. Depends on which backer board was used. Tile can be cleaved off of some quite nicely. With others, you might get some divoting. Then you're back to square one. The cost of a new tile installation: New tile, thinset, grout, etc. The sooner you act, the better the outcome. Before you start to tear things out, consider the grout you are going to use. A basic portland cement based grout, yes, it may need maintenance. Some of the "newer" single component grouts (FusionPro or an equivalent) may perform better. Your installer should be able to guide you. Upgrading to a better grout may be worth it versus the process of going through a retile. Good luck.
