Mine like it cooler and in shade...Not sure how others grow them but I fertilize as I do brugs...The Iochromas don't need water as much as the brugs though. I'm sure others will chime in to help you out. knotz

Jennifer —-(Spraying with Neem Oil and or and other mixtures to eradicate the insects organically could still harm those beneficial insects. Some people will just let those pest stay on the tree because they dont want to harm them. Its a difficlt choice to make for some and you need to understand that some bad infestations that might get out of hand and could cause your trees to become weak and allow other diseses to slowly kill your tree. i always try and let Mother Nature work on the right balance of the pest verses the beneficial insets to keep everything in check. You could try and prune it to a smaller size maybe if you wish to keep it in a smaller pot, my key lime is quite small and it went through several flowering cycles this year. Citrus are heavy feeders so providing enough nutrients is key. I use granular citrus fertilizer on a monthly basis just topdress the soil, and when my plants are fruiting and flowering I use a water soluble fertilizer weekly. They also make water soluble citrus nutrients which can be diluted and sprayed on the leaves. I prefer to apply smaller amounts of nutrients more often. Also I recommend using organic fertilizer, non organic fertilizer will lead to salt build up in the pot. The picture is the kinds of fertilizer I use. Some of the marks look like mechanical damage. I would not worry too much at this moment. Not sure you need to change the water weekly, guess is doesn't matter either. Try using water at room temperature. I am not sure what you mean by RO water. What you don't want is city tap water which has chemicals added to it, hard water from a well is not the best but should not be too bad if it is not depositing mineral scale, but do not use softened water as it has salt in it. If you get algae in the water, use a dark colored container to block light into the water.
