Stories for a Season

I am curious to know if anyone (besides myslef) had a tendency to read certain types of books during certain seasons of the year.

The obvious would be reading love poetry in spring, Christmas stories in December, and scary novels around Halloween. But does it ever go beyond that?

I never noticed it before looking at my reading records, but it seems I do.

I like to read books set in the South during the summer. Last summer I read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, and Uncle Tom's Cabin.

I have read very little in Russian literature, but I find I often have a desire to read it in the winter months.

And for the past three years I have read a Dickens book around June. I don't know if I just like reading it then or I do not find such large books intimidating or depressing when the weather is so nice.

How about you? Do you read certain things during certain seasons?
