Find the source/base of the cane with the red rose. If the source is below what is called the bud union (see the photo at the link below), then that is what we call a "sucker" from the rootstock. Go down to the base and scrape off that sucker from where it is attached to the rootstock. Dr. Huey is vigorous, and only by scraping it off at the base will help you save your white rose. Don't cut it, that won't help. If the source is above, then it is a sport. Methinks, though, that it is a Dr. Huey sucker. Here is a link that might be useful: Anatomy of a Bare Root Rose

I have Red Drift in front of my mailbox since it stays low, and on both sides I have Red Sunblaze. It's a minature, but not like most of my minis. It is also by Meilland and for me has been very disease resistant (this is their 3rd year) and have only gotten to be about 1.5-2 ft tall so far. Also, their blooms stay for close to a week for me. A few photos and some more information... There's a label on the bottom of the pot, so I was able to find out where the plant was from. It seems it's a grower in Thailand who then sells to large stores worldwide. The plants are shipped by sea to Europe and acclimatised to the different conditions. The Adenium is part of their "Easy Care Plants" collection. Their website lists them as "Baobab Rose (Adenium Arabicum)". Several other succulent types are included in this range. The leaves are velvety on both sides. The pruning is ugly...and has a big dollop of some kind of sealant on it...this is the worst view of the cut... But it'll be ok eventually...or at least it'll be pretty from one side only ! The leaves...hopefully you can see the hairs... A little off-topic, but this one (part of the same "Easy Care" range) came home too, and it's pruned in the same way. The pots are quite nice, they are ceramic, 4 inch square, slightly less than 4 inches tall. Sadly, they have no drainage holes. These two are in quarantine at the moment, I'll be repotting them later today. In case anyone is wondering, I always quarantine new arrivals...even if they look fine, which these two do. :) (If anyone is curious about their website, message me.
