German insecticidal soaps

I recently moved to Germany and began gardening. My Innocencia rose has some insects on it. Miniscule white flies and tiny green worm looking things about the size of small grain rice. They are just on the buds and nowhere on my other roses. What are some German brands (or ones they sell in Germany) of insecticidal soaps?

Hello everyone, The only oil that I found that worked for me after trying all kinds was minerial oil. A few drops to gallon of water and a few drops of dishsoap. If you have plants inside and see spider webs. Act fast. Remove plants from growing station. Clean and clean and spray Lysol all over and repeat for two days. Mean while wash all plants down and spray wetable garden sulfur all over them. Shower the plants a few times and repeat every few days with garden sulter spray. This will help untill you can get your plants hardened off for the new season. The lysol will kill small bugs that are hiding. You can even fan the lysol spray in the air in the growing area while your plants are not there. Its great to wash your plants but you need to remember where they are growing also. -Elizabeth

Get one of the inexpensive hand pump or compression sprayers. These are what I use and they are work perfectly and are easy to use. And regardless of whether you are practicing organic methods or not, it is advised to have a sprayer dedicated to a specific purpose - insecticides in one, fungicides or fertilizers in separate sprayers, and if you use them at all, herbicides MUST have their own.

Dave - soap solution will kill soft bodied pests like aphids. It is a contact killer but it would definitely will be better to use something castille soap or insecticidal soap made specifically for plants. The safe ones will say potassium salts of fatty acids. Some plants may still be sensitive to it and should be used with some caution. Alcohol solution is quite safe. It stinks up the place for a short time. Inside the house it will not leave unsightly residue on surrounding stuff - which is a big plus. Moinrules: If you have not seen any damage so far then you are OK. Usually the concentration used is 1 tbsp of soap per gallon of water. I usually use 2tsps per gallon and is quite effective. It has to be a real soap and not the usual dish detergent. Usually organic ones are made of real soap - sodium or potassium salts of fatty acids. Try to go for the one that says (if it does say at all) potassium salts. Castille is sodium based, BTW.
