I check around every year or so to see if any new research has been done-- haven't checked lately. The traditional origin of noisettes has been confirmed by DNA analysis in a study of which Malcolm Manners is a principal author. If you got the damask information at second hand, you can find the original with the search string: iwata triparental damask. There is an article and a "poster." For centifolias you can see the link. This is an ambitious study that places many OGR cultivars in a tree diagram based on genetic similarity. You will have to use the pdf magnifying tool to study the diagram. They found the centifolias to be heterogenous, contrary to a belief by some modern rose historians that the centifolias mostly diverged by sporting during the 17th-early 18th centuries in Holland. If you do study it, you might be able to come back here with a list of "true" centifolias and an idea of how they are related to the other OGR groups. Quick answer: Most of what's out there isn't free. If it's free, it's from generalized papers and/or it's old. What you need is a library that has access to the scientific publications so you can read them and if they are what you're looking for, download them to a memory stick. In California, I would expect any libraries within the UC system to allow citizens (aka taxpayers) to use the libraries' computers. But call first. You would like to have access to the Springer pubs, to (I'm not remembering this correctly) something like Klewer..., to the American Phytopathological Society, to Agricola (Major ag and hort search engine) and to CAB (separate search engine that covers pubs from countries in the olde British Empire.) You can use Google-Scholar at home, but it will give you an idea of what's out there. But, surprise, surprise, when you do the same search at a library with paid links to the databases, the links appear on the searched finds. Perhaps the one article to start with is David Zlesak's excellent summary (out last year, so it's very, very timely) titled Rosa.x hybrida which is chapter 26 in the book "Blower Breeding and Genetics" edited by N.O. Anderson. It's pages 695-738. The bibliography is huge. To find the library closest to you with that book, enter the title and you zipcode on the search engine below. Quando começo a desesperar de ver alguém mais a interessar-se, eis que aparecem pessoas como você! :-) Não sei se conseguirá encontrar alguma roseira com todas as características que indica e, se conseguir, o mais provável é que não exista no comércio cá... Se em vez de branca quiser experimentar uma roseira em cor-de-rosa, a Bela Portuguesa (a.k.a. Belle Portugaise) é uma roseira lindíssima e foi hibridizada no início do século XX pelo então jardineiro-chefe do Jardim Botânico de Lisboa, Henri Cayeux. Creio que não existe à venda em Portugal, mas pode encomendá-la facilmente em Inglaterra, em qualquer dos websites que indiquei acima. Se quiser mesmo branca e trepadeira, existem algumas roseiras chá antigas, como a Devoniensis ou a Sombreuil, ou a Noisette Madame Alfred Carriére, que se adequam bem a uma zona histórica antiga - mas não são portuguesas, nem com 5 pétalas. Outra hipótese, muito vigorosa, é a Lady Banks, que se consegue encontrar em centros de jardinagem em Portugal, mas que não é adequada a todas as circunstâncias devido ao facto de ser muito grande (não conheço o espaço que tem disponível). Se quiser obter boas sugestões de roseiras nas condições que descreve (excepto o facto de serem portuguesas) poderá colocar a sua questão no fórum de Antique Roses aqui no gardenweb, onde certamente será inundada com lindas sugestões.
