Are these some chilli or capsicum seedlings just in front?

Totora likes chillis. He grows the hot beggars and makes up this concoction with vinegar etc like sambal olek. Also preserves them whole and eats them from the bottle. (Mrs Totora is not a big chilli eater unfortunately; Mrs Lomatia is not that keen either!)

I'll bet their not Totora's tommies at all. Admit it Lomatia, they all died and you haven't had the heart to tell him while he's enjoying Europe!

They sure look healthy. Tell us his secret, what does he grow them in. Potting mix, homemade mix ?? You can tell us, we are all friends here :-)

I mix used cocoa peat from the hydroponics industry in with the potting mix. Totora does the same. I believe that it is chocked with residual fertiliser so it helps waterholding ability and growth at the same time.

They sure look great! Where does one find used cocoa peat - do you just ask at local hydroponics suppliers?

PP, I think the local marradidg growers!!! (giggle) No some of the hydroponic places get returns apparently.

They look in excellent shape. I am having my first attempt at tommies in about 20 years (well not counting things that just come up from the compost) and they were flip-flopping everywhere and the loopers are already all over them. I, too, am ashamed.

Those ones probably will be Lomatia.
My outside plants range from just set fruit down to first trues leaves. I never plan to but I usually sow new ones regularly during the season.
That reminds me, I must go and sow some Tommy Toes. I want to cross them with a few others.

I second that Ray - I'm trying not to notice. I think my seedlings range between 1cm and 4cms, maybe a few 5cms tall... Harumphhh 2!!!!
