can't find info for my conifer

Hi, was wondering if anyone had info on Leylandii Naylors Blue conifer I bought yesterday. I've spent quite a few hours on the internet, google searching etc. can't find anything. I'd really like to know what an advanced one looks like as the one I have is only about 3ft. tall. Can someone out there help? Thanks, Brenda.

Hope you and your neighbours have enough room. If you find out later that you bought more than you bargained for, apparently the timber is reasonably useful.

If you want more information, google it under "naylors blue", using the ""s - you don't need any more description. You will get a couple of listings for emery paper, but most will be for the tree.

If you specifically want pictures use -
"naylors blue" picture
in the search field.

We have about 200 metres of them planted on our boundry fence - didn't like the gold coloured ones, as we thought they looked sick... The neighbours down the road have taken the top off theirs which seems to have stopped the upwards growth. We want ours to be big, so have left them alone. They are cone-shaped, dense trees which can be clipped into a hedge. We were so impressed with their performance that we bought 200 more, most of which are now planted out as windbreaks.

Thanks rhizo for responding before I did something I would most likely regret. I've never had luck with bonsais but was looking at an old pot and wondered if I should give it another try before admitting defeat. I was surprised to see by your link that these are actually used as bonsai trees. But I think I will do what I can to care for it as a houseplant. Are they as difficult as it appears?

I also have been talking to window people trying to decide if I want to replace my windows myself or have it done. The removal method that seems to be the most commom is to remove the glass from the frame, and then cut and colapse the frame to remove. They are probally nailed in with flanges and you could remove the nails but most say you can pull the aluminum frame out from the nails with pry bar after colapsing. They basicly destroy the old windows to remove. Hope this helps. Tom
