sick native frangipani

need help. I have a native frangipani (hymenosporum flavum ) that I planted 12 months ago. It was thriving until we got all this rain over the last month. Now the leaves are all turned down like a tree is distress. Also planted near the tree were a couple of South African Crotons and they were alive one day and three days later dead. Can it have footrot from all this rain. It gets the full westerly sun every afternoon.

Can it be saved? I do not want to loose it.
