What I like to read.

Thought I'd post this in a new message. I'm always interested in learning about a new book or a new genre that I haven't heard of before. IF you have any suggestions let me know.

Normally, I am a lover of children's books. I like to collect them because of the whimsy of childhood. I don't think I've ever given that up. Many say it's horrible that I haven't but I like it :)

I love the science-fiction/ fantasy scene also. Mostly Anne McCaffery, Piers Anthony, and Brian Jaques.

I also read horror...not too many strike my fancy tho...mostly Stephen King, and Anne Rice if you consider her horror. I like to say Anne is more of "Intense Gothic Romance" than anything else.

I'm a sucker for all the classics. Poe was a favorite since I was a child. I enjoy reading alot of Shakespeare and of course anything by Jack London, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Louisa May Alcott...the list goes on.

There are a few other Authors that stick in my mind and I don't really have a place to classify them. L. Frank Baum, James O'Barr, J.K. Rowling, and who could forget Mark Twain.

I guess I like a lot of everything. I mean I read constantly and I read what my taste craves at that moment in time. If I'm at the bookstore and something catches my eye, no matter what it is, I'll buy it and read it. I have so many books my girlfriend thinks I'm a complete geek. Out of everything I own my books are the hardest objects to part with. It's like parting with an old friend. My excuse is always, "I can't let that one go. What if I want to embark on that adventure again in the future?"

So I like a little of everything. Children's to Mythology, to Sci-Fi to Fantasy to Classics, Mystery, Romance, Thriller, Horror....etc...etc...etc...

Always open to new things and ready to discuss anything.

Love books, always have always will...
