Newbie Dwarf Citrus question

Hello sorry if this is a stupid question, I have had a look and can't find anything that answers my question so I thought I would ask the experts, I'm a newbie so bear with me, have had a dwarf lemon in a pot in my courtyard for 6 months or more and after a scale infestation it has recovered nicely.

I recently got a dwarf navel orange tree as a gift it looks like it may be having trouble with something, leaf curling and dropping healthy green leaves, also noticed this dark green almost wet look on the leaves, on the outside edge or down the centre if the leaf but I can't find any info on what that is. I can't find any obvious signs of pests ? Could it be overwatering as had a lot of heavy rain here recently? Also noticed same dark green pattern on my healthy lemon tree.

Have you fed that tree lately.
It looks well enough fed, just sometimes its easy to overfeed them when they are in pots.

Hi mike thanks for reply, no I haven't fed it, but then I have only had it a few weeks so it could have been fed before It was given to me, is that leaf discoloration a sign of over feeding?

seems like it would be too close to the jasmine and large tree. it would be competing for nutrients. i would recommend a different location.

Search for Al Tapla's 5-1-1 mix or gritty mix. These potting mediums allow for fast drainage thus preventing root rot. Makes it difficult to over-water. Very worth the afternoon it takes to prepare and pot. Order some Foliage Pro as you'll need a fertilizer with micronutrients. Add a tiny bit of vinegar to the fertilizer water.

You can let them turn into little fruitlets then take them off or take the blossoms off when you see the flowers starting to dry up. People say it's best to take them off but leaving one fruit is okay if you really want one. I had left one fruitlet on mine when it was in bad shape and it still recovered. Since we're starting to enter the best time of the growth season though, it's probably best not to let it fruit. Let your tree grow to its hearts content while it's nice out before the dreaded overwintering. It will flower again in the fall/winter so if you want you can decide to keep one then!

I was looking at the very edge of the leaf, it looks like a margin along the outer edge.
If that turns yellow and looks a bit burnt, that would look like fertilizer burn.

All in all the plant looks great , I wonder if it came out of a shade house and is now in full sun, perhaps a bit of acclimatisation required.

Make sure it gets a good watering where the water is washed out the bottom of the pot every now and then, just to flush any buildup out.
