American heiresses, British nobility

The thread on Downton Abbey has brought up the subject of American heiresses bringing their fortunes across the pond to rescue impecunious British nobles and win social prestige in return. It reminded me of several books I have read about such women.

Consuelo Vanderbilt Balsan married the Duke of Marlborough, later divorced him, and wrote "The Glitter and the Gold"--really enjoyed this when I read it long ago. Jennie Jerome, mother of Winston Churchill, was another such heiress and there are several books about her--and much in biogs of him.

There must be an entire genre of such books. Any other titles to suggest?
