I have a very erect thornless blackberry (NOID and I have no clue as to variety so far) that is mature, but the canes are in excess of 6' tall. I will have several to move, so I can trade some. They will fruit better in the next year or two after you plant them, since the shock of transplant will probably set them back some. I would take some black raspberries and some Allstar strawberries. I have those growing all over my neighbourhood wild and in the next town. Some are in front of people's houses, there's some by the train tracks, just about everywhere and no one seems to care about them as much as I do. They are black raspberries pretty much all over near me, but the yellow ones were a surprise. I didn't know they existed until I saw them by the train track. I thought they weren't ripe yet, but they are wonderful! They are also in front of some guy's house with black ones, so perhaps it is a mutation. How long do they take to ripen? I can't wait any longer. I want to eat those berries. I wonder if it's possible to grow them on my apartment deck... There's also some berries that aren't black berries but something else. They are sour. I don't like them and there are black berries behind the supermarket.

Native little wild blackberry often has the same 'white dust' on the new growth as the black raspberries. Just because 'all the sites' say a species has a particular characteristic doesn't mean that characteristic is going to definitively separate that species from all others. Species descriptions are maddeningly incomplete. And plants are variable.
