They don't have Rain Parade any more, as I scrolled through their tulips. I've bought them 2 different years. The fringed ones usually don't come back but this one is in a bed facing south. The pretty golden color faded to off white. I'm really sorry they don't have those. They have an 800#. Maybe you could call them and ask what they have that might be comparable. These naturalize, and I would think those of similar colors and shapes would as well. I think they are Darwin and Triumph so maybe you can make your own mix. I don't see a good red there tho. I kind of like the Purple Moon or Blue Moon collection, then fill in with others. Miserable rainy cold but more bloomed and they were glorious. Good luck.

Well, the answer is yes -- sort of. You can refridgerate the tulip bulbs now, but they'll need 12-15 weeks of cold storage before you can force them. Also, it's so late in the season that you'll need to pot them up before putting them into cold storage. (I'm potting up the last of my tulips that have been in cold storage since November this weekend.) Hyacinth bulbs can be kept unpotted longer than tulips; these you may be able to just chill and then plant up and force. Chances are that you don't have enough room in the fridge for a bunch of pots, so you may want to put the potted bulbs outside for now if you have a balcony; weather in our area will be mostly above freezing for a while, and they can withstand short periods of slightly below freezing temps (high 20s) at night. Hi Melinda, I am mainly looking for the Species because they are supposedly more perennial then so many other varieties. I do know there are numerous others that are specially bred to be more perennial than others, but 'most' tulips just don't do much here beyond their first good year of bloom. About Perennial Tulips and More tulips that are 'supposed to be' perennials. Might you have any of those from the link above or below? Cheryl, I basically set my price on what I know my stuff is worth regardless of the wholesalers. No let me explain first. This has to do with florsit only. At a farmers market is different. Second you really do need to know what the wholesalers are charging as a baseline. But you should charge more. The reason why is the fact that yours is fresh from the grower, deliveried to your door and in my case no pesticides, herdicides etc. SOme florists you want as an account some you don't. They want it cheap and don't care about the product. This is what I do. I general meet them in the winter give them my card etc. Then as the season progresses I bring a sample etc and talk price. I usually knock them out with my sample. Hey it's fressh cut. Now other florist will only want a small amount etc. and it's just not worth your time. I'm honest with them about this too.
