If it would live the rest of the summer in a container, it would live the rest of the summer in the ground. Redtwig dogwoods like about a half a day of sun. They like moist soil, NOT soaked soil. Plant it and mulch it, make sure that it is not soaked, but moist - meaning check the soil for moisture before drowning it. Do this by pulling some mulch back and if it is moist, leave it alone. If dry, soak it and check it again in a few days. hortster

I can find quite a bit of the wild stuff, but certainly couldn't afford to send that much. Chicory, plantain, fireweed, Purslane, wood sorrel, Solomon's seal (false?), some type of gooseberry (wild ones, when I go to Idaho) Jerusalem artichoke, red alder, skunk cabbage--maybe, kinnikinnick, MAYBE serviceberry, wild ginger (certainly not 40 of them, though), possibly Oregon grape, bedstraw, burdock, not sure on monkeyflower, cascara, snowberry, all heal, yarrow, yellow violets, Virginia creeper, maybe nuphar polysepalus, wild strawberries (fragaria virginiana and chiloensis).

Hi Everyone, Well this year has SUCKED so far and my gardens and plants have not been any better. Brenda I do have the Taurus Rex Begonia for you but the rabbits destroyed my Sutherland gold Sambucus. If I can get the little bit of it that is still alive to survive, maybe I can get some for you next year. I am not bringing too much this year, and I did not get any peonies dug up as I planned - sigh. In fact NOTHING I planned has worked out, and you will all be subjected to my tale of woe and misery.
