Look At Me !!!

I have just crawled out of one of the lakes at the City Botanic Gardens in Brisbane.

There are a lot of us here all shapes and sizes, there is this little one near me

It is always following me around I wish it would go play with one its own size.

You see I am one of the big Guys, Boss Cocky around here so to speak, so no more Pics.

Here I am............Very Cute Water Dragon:

Here are some of the Hibiscus that are growing in the special garden there.

The plants are not in very good condition , probably because we have water restrictions.

Still BCC whats wrong with hand held hoses and buckets after all we have to do that.

Hibiscus..............................Some very different colours there.

Just look at the size of these Bamboo Shoots plenty there for a stir fry:

Plenty of Waterlilies on the Lake only the one colour though:

A close up of the Poinciana Flowers they were so pretty and so many trees laden down with the flowers:

These Gardens are on the banks of the Brisbane River which flooded too many times so they made the new one.

At Mt Coot-tha opening it in 1976 no problems about flooding there its high up also twice as big in area.

Hey Joe the Cactus, you're a scream, mate! I dig your sense of humour. My head-count... gee, I dunno I ran out of fingers and toes a long time ago! talking about heads though, don't lose yours mate, remember John did! Pijaya, it's likely you and Larry are right, thanks to you both for the info and your pics!! the filaments on the tips of mine are quite short in comparison... and it's definitely not a Haworthia aristata. Hi, Houzz should have moved your existing trade list to this site. Place your cursor over 'Your Houzz' next to your profile picture, found at top right of page. Choose 'Edit Profile'. On the left side, click on 'Advanced Settings' where you will hopefully find your trade list to edit. The text box can be stretched bigger by dragging the right bottom corner. Remember to save it with the 'Update' button at the bottom of the page when you are done. Also, while you are there you should activate your Message button. Wow, it's really moving along!!! So excited for you. I cannot wait to see the beadboard painted the jadeite color. :-)))) So regarding the sink skirt, it looks like you have a middle style (or whatever that is called) between the two doors. If you remove the doors, you could probably put tiny tension rods between the sides and that middle piece. Or you could put the velcro strip behind the top rail so it goes completely behind that middle piece of wood. Either way I think it should keep the curtain fabric contained somewhat, huh? Let me see if I can find a picture and I'll post it in your other thread.

I definitely talk to earthworms. Every time I dig one up, I find a nice place for him and say "Here, you go over here while I'm digging." I just get so much energy from being out in nature. Haven't seen my garter snake lately though. Sam must have found someplace better to eat.

Those bamboo shoots remind me of the day of the tryphods.
Love the lizard, so trusting they get.

Think of the size of the wok you would need for those bamboo shoots! Great shots, I love the lizard,what a beautiful tropical feel to those shots. well done.

Just love the WD. The Hibiscus are all very pretty as is the Water Lily flower. All great really.

Thanks everyone, I have never seen so many water dragons in one place before, it was over run with them.
A person had to be very carefull where they stood they were all sizes too, but looked the same.
And those were some of the smaller bamboo shoots, you should have seen the big ones, it was unbelievable.

Thanks for reminding me of the gardens, a great place, I spent many ours there, - picnics etc, and just hanging out when I was in the city.
