George this (last) year I grew the few Poletschka I had left for seed, I haven't eaten any myself but it is a very prolific bean, hopefully it will do well in your location. I gave my neighbor most of the harvest, he uses a lot of dry beans. Berta Talaska I loved it as a shelly and the snaps were pretty good too, very disappointing as a full bean tho. I have a very long list of beans I have to renew this year so I'm afraid most of them will be grown in very small amounts and I'll have to bag a lot of flowers :), tedious but it works. I also want to do a comparison grow out of my older 'Tennessee Cutshort' and the ones you sent me, along with Frank Barnett. And then there's the 'Tennessee Greasy Mix' I want to grow several of the different seed coat patterns separately, just see what each one of them produces, especially the one in the picture below, only have a couple of these, hoping they will produce more. I have my list made up of what I'd like to grow this year, whether I get them all in is another story, and then there's the unexpected goodies that manage to find their way into my hands :). Nothing is written stone until they're finally planted. Wishing everybody the best growing season ever. Annette This post was edited by aftermidnight on Fri, Jan 2, 15 at 13:09

It's Christmas morning here in Italy. Merry Christmas to all on the forum, or Happy Holidays as the case may be, and may we have the fortitude to face events in 2021, and the grace to appreciate all the good that comes our way! This forum is a good place: thanks to you all. Jeri, I hope your weather has improved. Ours is changing from bad to awful, but at least we're having a winter, while the house is warm and bright and the pantry full.

@Christopher CNC, absolutely agree with your observations on extreme weather swings that are becoming the norm. It’s truly frightening when one ponders the causes and the not so long term effects which seem to be more evident with each passing season. On a cheerier note, your full moon snow garden appreciation made me smile. Because we in the PNW have been enjoying several days of clear night skies, daytime sun & frosty mornings with daytime highs only in low 40’s, I’ve been able to enjoy seeing that full moon illuminating my little yard while seeing it in early evening peeking through the giant fir trees on the adjacent acreage East of me as it rises. Forecast is for increasing cloudiness today so no more viewing tonight & we’ll be warming back up from daytime low 40’s to balmy low 50’s later this week.

Not usually played for Christmas but appropriate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ai3UhslbPOk Benedictus ... one of those songs that make my socks roll up and down and I could listen to many times and hear something new each time. Benedictus qui venit in Nomine Domini Blessed be He that comes in the Name of the Lord.

Thanks everyone, Goodness what have I started, but its terrific to see everyone puttting their Greetings on. Michelle there are no special Graphics I just download Christmas ClipArt and upload it to Photobucket and put it on here just like a photo.

You just have to watch the spacing where you type Hummm I have to laugh as those big pics that have been put on after have pulled it out of shape. But never mind the message is there and that is the main thing. Thanks Marion for your "Peace" and Jan for your "Christmas Bush" and Bev for your "Sunset over the Murray River" very nice all of them.....Cheers...MM.
